Derrick Pemberton Jr is a game designer, producer, storyteller, and artist born and raised in Centerville, Ohio. Now residing in Pittsburgh, PA, he is currently studying at the renowned Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University. Derrick couldn't be happier to live in the amazing network at the ETC and can't wait to make the next generation of interactive experiences. He can't imagine his life without video games, nor would he ever want to.
Prior to joining the ETC, Derrick was a technical designer at Daedalus Design and Production in Brooklyn, NY. Here he has designed scenery for numerous Tony Award-winning productions such as “Hamilton”, “Dear Evan Hansen”, “Waitress”, “An American In Paris”, and “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child”.
In his free time, Derrick enjoys cooking, film, photography, and digging through the dusty bins at local record stores. If you have any recommendations, he is all ears.
